Hard Hope and Civic Futures
September 29 & October 6, 2024

Class Description
Join Dr. Sarah Pessin for a conversation about a difficult but necessary mode of hope that draws on insights from Christian thought leader MLK, Jewish philosopher Emmanuel Levinas, and the Queer Chicana feminism of Gloria Anzaldua. Also, have a chance to share ideas for how she might best activate campus-community ties in her new Spiritual Life directorship at University of Denver, and learn more about her ‘Sensational Intergenerational’ project including a number of upcoming opportunities to be in fellowship with undergraduate students.
